No way to "push it through" -- you are among millions waiting on a server. The IRS just began to accept e-files on Monday, January 29. The state cannot accept your e-file until the IRS accepts your federal return. It is often a couple of days later for the state to accept a return after the IRS accepts the federal return. So....you wait.
No, you can't "push it" through.
Your state return is processed after your federal is accepted. Federal returns started processing on January 29 and may take up to two days to be accepted.
Once your federal return is accepted, your state will be processed. The amount of time varies by state. It can be up to a few days depending on the state.
I know that tax filing acceptance year started on January 29th, but I received notification that my federal return was accepted on January 19th, which I thought was odd. My federal status has been "accepted" since then. I thought since my federal has been accepted for so long that my state would also go to accepted pretty quick. Oh well, I guess we are at the IRS's mercy.
Yes, a few lucky taxpayers' returns were processed early as a test batch. If your state started processing on January 29, you should get an update soon.
