My state return was not accepted yet and I already noticed an error. Can I cancel the submission to avoid having to file an amended return?

You can't cancel the submission but, since it hasn't been accepted yet, wait to see if it's accepted or rejected.

If it's rejected, you'll have the opportunity to make corrections.

If it's accepted, you'll need to amend your return.
