My sons college is asking for my tax transcript because it is getting close to the deadline. It has been 3 weeks what can I do ?

You can go to <a rel="nofollow" target="_blank" href="https://www.irs.gov/Individuals/Get-Transcript">https://www.irs.gov/Individuals/Get-Transcript</a> and order one at no charge. They will mail it to the address on the return. you'll get it in about 3 days. Note that your 2015 transcript will not be available under after the IRS has completed processing your 2015 return and if you owe taxes, you have paid them and the payment has cleared.
Your other option if IRS processing is not complete, is to print a copy of your return, sign it and provide it to the college.
