My refund is pending at my bank for direct deposit, but the IRS tracking doesn’t show it approved. Is this normal?

I have the same question. Refund is showing as pending in my bank account but IRS website only shows it has been accepted and not yet approved.

Since the idiot IRS Commissioner told everybody to go home, instead of sit far apart, IRS is way behind on everything, including reporting refund status.
