My refund is not enough to cover the deluxe plus the $40 fee. How can I have the remaining $16 mailed to my home address?

My total refund is less than $100. Why is there a need to charge me $100 to get a $76 refund.  I can pay the deluxe out of the refund and have the balance mailed.

Sorry--they do not do it that way.   If your federal refund will not be enough to cover both your TurboTax fees and the refund processing fee, then you have to pay TurboTax upfront using a credit/debit card.  They do not take partial payments and bill you for the rest.

If you will be getting a federal refund there is no penalty for filing after the deadline, so if you need to wait to pay TurboTax and e-file later--you can still e-file a 2019 return until October 15, 2020.

Buy a visa gift card from Costco or other retailer and save the $40.00  fee to Green Dot.
