My refund for 2021 taxes has been deposited into an old bank account. How do I update the bank info for my refund? I have called IRS 3 times but they hang up on me.

Wait for a check.   When the IRS sends your refund to a closed or wrong bank account, the bank sends the refund back to the IRS.  The IRS will issue and mail a check to the address on your tax return.  You are not allowed to change the banking information for your refund after you file your tax return.

@jesyka30r to protect against fraud, the IRS will not change banking information, so calling is a waste of time.  The only way to change it is when you file a new tax return.
