When amending the 2022 tax return using the online editions, click on My Info on the left side of the online program screen.  Edit your information and then select that you can be claimed as a dependent.

To access your current or prior year online tax returns sign onto the TurboTax website with the User ID you used to create the account - https://myturbotax.intuit.com/

Scroll down to the bottom of the screen and on the section Your tax returns & documents.  Click on 2022 and Click on Amend (change) 2022 return

Who filed first---you or Mom?   If you filed first and your return was accepted, then Mom cannot e-file her own return now and will have to file by mail if she is claiming you.   If she tries to e-file it will be rejected if you already put your SSN into the system.   It will do her no good to wait for you to amend.   It takes the IRS at least six months to process an amended tax return.    If you filed first, you will need to amend, and change your answer in My Info when it asks if someone else can claim you.

If Mom filed first and now your return is being rejected, you do not click anything that says "amend."  You do not "amend" to fix a rejected return.  You just fix the return and try to e-file it again.   You just go back to My Info and change the way you answered the question about whether someone else can claim you.
