My mom claimed me as a dependent. I need to change that on my tax return.

If you haven't already filed your return, you can just go back and change the information.  To make the changes:

1. Click on the Personal Info tab.
2. Click on Edit next to your name. 
3. In section #3, mark the box that Someone else can claim me on their tax return.
   
4. Then mark whether your parent(s) will or will not claim you on their 2016 return.
5. Continue with the rest of the return.

If you have already filed and your return has been accepted, you will have to amend your return, following these steps:

1. Sign back in to TurboTax and go to your Tax Timeline.  
2.  In the section Some Things You Can Do (below the grey line), click on Amend (change) return. 
3. On the screen, Are you sure you'd like to amend, click the box Amend using TurboTax Online.
4. On the screen, Have you already filed this return, click the Yes button and then click the button next to I need to amend my 2016 return and click Continue.  
5. On the screen, What do you need to change on your return, scroll down and click on the Update box next to Personal Info & Dependents. 
6. Follow the instructions above to change your dependency information.
