My mail-in return appears to haven't arrived according to the tracking, no return receipt received, etc. Can I mail my return again (noted 'possible duplicate')?

I'm overseas and the forms are mail in only. I mailed before the April deadline. Tracking has last shown the package somewhere almost 6 weeks ago and I've not received my return receipt. I do not owe/nothing is due. If I note on the cover sheet 'possible duplicate' as well as the original mailed by date and a photocopy of my receipt will this be acceptable? I should have an automatic 2 month extension being overseas.

The IRS is currently processing returns that were mailed in during the month of April per this link.  I would recommend checking this link over the next few weeks before sending in another copy as sending in a duplicate copy may delay the processing of your original return.
