My husband filed our taxes jointly without me present. He said he "didn't have to put in my w-2 information" so I believe he did it wrong. What do I do?

He said it only asked him to put in my basic information like my name, DOB, and SSN. Do I need to log into my account and just file all my stuff seperately now? I don't know how  to go about this.

when filing MFJ all income from both spouses is listed.

You'll have to amend which you can do starting March 25.

It depends if you want to change what has been filed and file married, filing jointly, or if you want to continue with filing married, filing separately.

  • Assuming his return was accepted and approved because he used the correct AGI from 2019, there were no errors or omissions, etc, then you can proceed by changing your filing status in the My Info section, entering your details and e-filing also as married, filing separate.

  • To file married, filing jointly:
