My grandson received SSI for the first time. Federal taxes were withheld. How do I receive those moneys back?

Your Grandson will need to file his own Tax Return in order to receive a refund of the Federal Taxes withheld from his SSI. If your Grandson had no other income, he should receive the full amount of taxes withheld back in his refund.  

If your Grandson is being claimed as a Dependent, be sure to indicate this on his Tax Return.
