Your last sentence is not complete. However, you are not able to receive a refund for using the online version to complete your taxes despite purchasing the TurboTax program via a CD for your personal use. You might be able to return the unused, unopened CD that was purchased if there is no damage to the actual CD and it appears in the new, original packaging. PLEASE call customer service to discuss the return.

The CD or download program can prepare multiple returns for the same original price (except that state e-filing is an additional fee for each return.  You can print and mail your state return for no additional fee.  Even with the fee, the CD copy is usually more cost effective for most taxpayers.)
