My estimated refund on TURBO TAX said 3/4/19 but when I track it on the IRS it doesnt have a date.... wtf is going on???

Only the IRS controls when and if a Federal tax refund is Approved and Issued.

The dates for receiving a tax refund after it has been accepted by the IRS are only estimates based on the IRS target of issuing a tax refund after 21 days from the date it was accepted by the IRS.  This is a target only and not a guarantee.

After the tax return has been Accepted by the IRS (meaning only that they received the return) it will be in the Processing mode until the tax refund has been Approved and then an Issue Date will be available on the IRS website.

Alright. Even though my turbo tax said it was approved and that turbo tax gives me an estimated refund date the IRS still needs to approve it?? It was rejected at first because i put in the wrong EIN number so i went back in and fixed it, and then a day later I got a notification saying it was approved and my estimated refund date would be on the fourth of this month. I just dont get why the turbo tax would say I am approved but not IRS

Turbo Tax does not say Approved. They say the IRS Accepted it for processing.  Accepted only means they verified your name and ssn and that it is from you.   And TurboTax just gives an Estimated date.  They have no way of knowing anything after they send it to the IRS.  And the IRS doesn't update Turbo Tax.
