My employer is going to correct my w2 to show the right state. I’m told it will take 90 days. Should I file now to be in time and amend after?

 would start the return and fill out everything except for the W-2.  Then contact your employer and explain to them it is absolutely unacceptable for them to delay the w2 correction for 90 days.  Hopefully they will get their s*** together and get your W-2 out much faster, but if not you will still be able to file before the deadline and then amend it later... Potentially avoiding amending later as it will be more work and cost to prepare.
