I went and had my SSN officially changed and it now matches. Will my taxes be rejected?

So you had your last name updated to match your existing Social Security Number. The IRS matches the name and social security number on your tax return with the social security records.  They do not match the name on the W-2 forms with the tax return itself, they match by SSN. Note: If the SSN on your form W-2 is incorrect you would need to contact your employer to request a corrected Form W-2 (W-2c).

As long as your name and SSN entered in the TurboTax program matches with what the Social Security Administration has on file, you will be fine.
