My amended return was 22 pages , do I need to mail all of them or just the ones that say 1040X.?

No, you don't want to send the entire return. According to the 1040X instructions:

 You only send the Form 1040X along with any forms or schedules related to the change. For example. If you are amending because you received another Form W-2 after filing. You would attach the new W-2 to the 1040X
