I'm assuming you mailed a paper return. If you e-filed, the IRS may still reject your return and then you can just go back into your return and correct your information.
Did you select direct deposit as your refund method? If so, the deposit will still go through just fine. I would recommend submitting IRS Form 8822, which is the change of address form to ensure that they have the correct address on file. Here's a link to the form https://www.irs.gov/uac/Form-8822,-Change-of-Address.
If you requested a paper check mailed to you, please contact the IRS to ensure that they have the correct address to mail the check. Please call 800-829-1040, Monday - Friday, 7:00 am - 7:00 pm local time.
There are similar procedures in place for your state department of revenue, if applicable. Simply follow the basic process above (find out if there is a dedicated form to file, or you can call them and verbally tell them your new address).file form 8822 with iRS. if the address used was your old address also file a change of address form with the USPS.
