I did my taxes as married filing jointly with my non resident alien wife on TurboTax.I didn't include a statement stating that I was treating her as a resident. What do I do now to amend that ?

@Ayo19995 you a US citizen/Resident ( Green Card ) and your wife is a Non-Resident Alien ( NRA ) -- what visa is she with, which country is her home country ?
Generally there is a requirement to include a statement signed by both the parties requesting to treat the NRA spouse as resident for the whole year. The NRA spouse must have Tax Id Number ( SSN or ITIN ). Since you have already filed your return and has been accepted for processing ( yes ? ), you can just mail a statement ( along with a copy of the return marked "Not for Processing " ). This should prompt human review and correction to the files -- they just need a signed / dated statement.
She is from Kazakhstan and she's here on a f1 student visa. We're currently working on her green card. We've already submitted the green card application a couple months ago. Do you know the exact address to mail the statement to? You can find multiple addresses sometimes for the government buildings. Also does the statement have to be notorized?
No you do not need to have the statement notarized. You can send it to the appropriate address included in the below link:
