I got a 1098 from morgage company intrest different than what reported

I filed and then received a 1098 from mortgage company I paid off my loan  in Dec 2018 and could not look up the interest paid . I entered 1300 but the 1098 said 1254.25 . What do I do now

I got a 1098 from morgage company intrest different than what reported

Look at your  return --- if you used  standard deduction , then you ignore this 1098 difference. If you used itemized deduction, then you may have to file an amended return reconciling the difference.  See below:

.** single under 65                         $12,000 65 or older $13,600 

head of household under 65         $18,000 

                                                 65 or older $19,600 

married, filing jointly*** under 65 (both spouses) $24,000     

                                      65 or older (one spouse) $25,300 

                                     65 or older (both spouses) $26,600 

married, filing separately any age $ 12000 

qualifying widow(er) under 65              $24,000 

                                            65 or older $25,300
