Line 29h on form 5695 is not calculating after the update I did today. All the correct figures are there as before, and it had the $2000 credit until today.

I saw somewhere, but can't find it again, that another person had this same issue. I have deleted and refilled out the form and it still does not calculate line 29h or put in the max figure of $2000

Same issue here. Ran taxes at end of January when Form 5695 update was released and everything was working fine (I saved a pdf and can see correct calculations). Opened Turbotax today 2/28/26 to file, software updated automatically and now Form 5695 Line 29h is not calculating correctly (leaving field blank) which is then not transferring the credit to Form 1040. Note: I called TurboTax and after 48 minutes the representative was finally able to tell me that there was an error in TurboTax and that they would release an update (ANOTHER ONE) by March 6, 2026. So, now I will my deadline to receive a discounted State File Tax fee (which had to be filed prior to March 2026).

I spent 30 minutes with Turbo Tax rep.  He agreed it was a problem.  He had me right click on 29h and manually change the value to 30% of line 29g.

The IRS finalized the 2025 version of Form 5695 on January 29, 2026. Once a form is finalized by the IRS, it has to be coded into the special language the software uses and has to be thoroughly tested for calculations and e-filing acceptability. The IRS then has to approve it for e-file. It always takes a little longer for a form to become available for e-file in a software program. The dates are subject to change due to all that needs to be done.

The question wasn't related to e-file, but to the form not calculating correctly.  There is a bug in the form.

I spoke with another rep today.  They could not really help me and gave me the same info above about electronic transfer.  The rep did say they have been having a lot of problems with this year's turbo tax.  I asked to talk to a manager but got put on a callback list.  Wait is 55 minutes...

It would have been such a simple thing to instruct me to use the override button when I called, twice.  Would also have been nice if the AI companion they use for a help feature was updated.

I am so so so disappointed in Intuit. I did the update too after having waited a week!  They can't get it right!  They promise and never deliver.  I have been with them for over 25 years as a professional preparer.  They seem to be changing from being a great program to selling services like karma credit and finding tax preparers.  Is this the new H&R Block????

Line 29h is populating after the update but there are still bugs in the form.  Line 31 is not populating.
