just received a letter from IRS letting me know they need copies of stuff that was filed through TurboTax, so i need to get turbo tax to send them what they need.

They probably want you to mail them the  paper copies of those forms.

They want to see your actual paper W2s and 1099s  probably to compare to what the employer sent in.  So you have to make copies of your actual forms and mail it to the IRS yourself.   Turbo Tax can't send the IRS or state anything for you.  They only transamit  your actual 1040 tax return.  Then they are done with their part.
