It shows that my Federal tax was accepted on 2/12/2019, I got a letter from the IRS saying they are holding my tax return to verify its accuracy. Is this a scam?

Probably not a scam. Thee may need more info from, say, your employer.

But call the IRS (look up the number on irs.gov) and ask.
