It said my taxes were expired when I did my ID me

I don't know what that means. Taxes don't expire. Do you remember exactly what it said, word for word? What was "it" that said you taxes were expired: ID.me or the IRS web site (or something else)?

The IRS is requiring folks to update their ID ME login so follow the posted  intructions.

It was the idme sit but I got a letter from IRS saying that my refund will be delayed because they want to make sure everything was accurate what does that mean

It is just what it says ... they are reviewing what you entered on your return against the tax reporting documents they got from employers, banks, pensions, brokers, etc.  Nothing you can do but wait for the return to be processed fully.  If the IRS wants/needs anything from you they will mail you a notice.
