It sounds like you may have received a CP53 notice from the IRS regarding incorrect direct deposit information.  If so, you will need to follow the instructions in the notice to provide the correct bank account information within 30 days and follow these guidelines: 

• The account must be in your name or be a joint account that includes your name.
• You must provide both the 9-digit routing number and your specific account number.
• You are only allowed one attempt to update this information through the portal.
• If you do not have a bank account or cannot use these electronic options, you may use the portal to request a paper check exception or simply let the 30-day window expire.
