It’s been over 21 days and I still haven’t received my tax return ?

When was your tax return accepted? The IRS releases most refunds within 21 calendar days after the e-file has been accepted.

NOTE: Sometimes, your federal refund can take longer than 21 days to process. For example if  you claimed an Earned Income Tax Credit and/or an Additional Child Tax Credit. (for additional reasons see the FAQ below). 

• An IRS representatives will be able to research the status of your refund if your return was accepted (received) more than 21 calendar days ago. Call them at 1-800-829-1040, but prepare for potentially long wait times.
