It looks like I am working on my 2018 return. I want to work on my return for the year 2019. Am I too early for that?

Yes, you are to early.  Tax year 2019 will not complete until after 12/31/2019.  Filing a 2019 tax return can only be done after January 1, 2020.

The TurboTax online editions for 2019 will not be available until sometime in December 2019.
