it has been over 6 weeks My Federal taxes were accepted 2/28/21 still under review.

my wife and I are both over 72 we submitted or taxes and they were accepted. Got our state quickly. Federal says still under review. Turbo-tax said no red flags. what can I do to check on this? Limited income.

Actually, that not quite 5 weeks.  But the IRS is seriously backlogged due to all the extra stimulus filings, as well as a few million unprocessed 2019 returns left over from the COVID shutdown.  In addition, the Where's My Refund site has been erratic and unreliable.  But if TT told you the IRS Accepted your filing for processing, then the government has it.  (Approved is a later step, but TT receives no further updates once Accepted.)  Contacting the IRS will not help, and the IRS has implored taxpayers not to call them.  Lots of other folks are still waiting, so please continue to be patient.  Also see:

it has been over 6 weeks My Federal taxes were accepted 2/28/21 still under review.

My Federal was accepted 2/14/2021. not 2/28/2021.  We will wait, we just want to know if we made any mistakes that need to be corrected.
