The IRS began to accept returns on Monday January 23. Millions of e-files have been pending on servers. Have a bit more patience and watch your emails.
When you e-file your federal return you will receive two emails from TurboTax. The first one will say that your return was submitted. The second email will tell you if your federal return was accepted or rejected. If you e-filed a state return, there will be a third email to tell you if the state accepted or rejected your state return.
I just did my taxes this morning, and my federal has already been accepted. I'm not sure what's going on for you.
I am in the same boat as you! I will never use TT again!!! IRS has zero record ANYWHERE that is was sent at all
Please see Why is there no record of my return at Where's My Refund (WMR)? for reasons why you may be unable to track the status of your refund.
It has been almost 4 days. It has never taken this long. My return is simple and straight forward. Should i refile. I am trying to be very patient. I dont want to create other delays
If your return is Pending, then you will not want to refile because it may cause a delay and you will be notified of the duplicate submission.
If your return is Pending, it means your e-filed return is on its way and the government hasn't accepted or rejected it yet. Please see What does pending mean? for more detailed information.
Once the IRS has accepted your e-filed return, you can check the status of your refund by going directly to: https://www.irs.gov/refunds
Additionally, you can check out this Help Article for instructions on how to track your state refund.
