If you have filed the return there is no way to stop it, but you do have options to make changes to the original return you filed. Your steps will depend on the status of your filed return:
If your return is Pending, you will need to wait for acceptance or rejection of the return.
If your return is in an Accepted status with the IRS, you will need to make the changes through an amendment.
If your return is Rejected by the IRS you will be able to make your changes and refile the return at that time.
