Is there a way to enter direct deposit information for stimulas if you owe irs. For 2019. So no direct deposit information is on taxes

We are still waiting for IRS guidance regarding updating or providing direct deposit information. We will have more information once the government finalizes the details.

From my research it appears the IRS will try and create a portal for taxpayers to be to enter their banking info in attempt to get the stimulus check quicker.  It is also my research that if you owe IRS they will not be holding stimulus checks.  However, I believe what I read is that if someone owes back child support etc.. or other offsets that can impede on the stimulus check.  I am sure once that portal is live, they will be advertising pretty heavily. 🙂
