Is the amended amount including your original files amount or is it adding to it

i recently amended my taxes and i’m not sure if the amount shown to included the original or if i’m getting that amount more

It should have included the amount from your original return.  Your original refund amount should show on line 18 for the amended return.  Then the difference can result in an additional refund due (or taxes due),
