Is it going to take longer for my refund because I chose to add the state return with the federal refund? If so is it to late to receive them separately?

It is not going to take longer to receive your refund because you chose to file both federal and state electonically.

You misunderstood something. You do not get your Federal and state refunds "together." Those refunds come from two entirely separate entities. They will come as two separate checks, or two separate deposits, depending on what you chose.
