IRS letter LTR 12C O R states, "Don't respond with a Form 1040X, Amended US Individual Income Tax Return". All of the instructions in Turbo Tax advise amending. Help?

The TurboTax the instructions that you should be following are in the FAQ at the link below. At the bottom of the FAQ click the link for the type of TurboTax software that you are using. Note that the FAQ says "You don't need to complete or send a Form 1040X (amended tax return) to the IRS."
