IRS did not send the refund shown when I e filed my taxes

I e-filed my taxes from Turbo-Tax. The IRS accepted my return. The Refund was $4753.00. The IRS direct deposited only $3715.31. What can I do or is there something I don't see?

Only the IRS would know why they changed your refund amount.  The IRS will send you a letter explaining the change they made to your return which caused a lower refund.  You should receive the letter in 4 to 6 weeks.

I appreciate the response, however, my faith in the IRS is minimal. I will wait the 4-6 weeks and to see if the IRS really does respond.
