In the past when I had a copy of Turbotax on my computer I could do what if scenarios after my tax return had been submitted. How do I do that with online version?

I don't want to save the changes I just want to see the effect they would have had if I used them.

That feature is only available on the CD/download product installed on your computer. That's one of the big advantages of using the CD/download product.
