On Schedule A medical expenses have to exceed the 7.5% of your AGI--see lines 2 and 3 on schedule A. Until you exceed the amount calculated on line 3 you will not get a benefit from your medical expenses.

Turbotax incorrectly calculated my average mortgage balance on Form 1098 in 2022, causing a lower HMID. I re-entered the correct information but no change. How to fix?
