In 2016 I used a different tax package & saved my excess federal & state returns - where do I enter this on my Turbotax 2017 returns?

You enter the 2016 tax refunds applied to 2017 in the Deductions & Credits, > Estimates and Other Taxes Paid, > Other Income Taxes,>2016 Refund Applied to 2017. See detailed instructions below.

To enter 2016 tax refunds applied to 2017:

1. Log on to TurboTax and pickup where you left off

2. Click the Federal tab

3. Click the Deductions & Credits Tab

4. Click Show more next to Estimates and Other Taxes Paid

5. Click Start or Revisit next to Other Income Taxes

6. Click Start next to 2016 refund applied to 2017 federal taxes

7. Click Start next to 2016 refund applied to 2017 state taxes

8. Click Start next to 2016 refund applied to 2017 local taxes (if applicable)
