If you receive a new w2 from your employer with a corrected EIN but all other info is unchanged do you still need to amend your taxes?

No, you don't have to amend your income tax return if you received a corrected tax form after filing (the "corrected" box is checked) and the new info does not change your refund or tax due amount.

Right, unless the changes affect the amount of tax you owe or your refund amount, no amendment is necessary.   This is often the case when it is an EIN number change - that is not going to change your tax liability.   But if there was a change in any number or even marking an option in Box 13, these could change your tax liability and you would need to enter the changes to see how the changes affect (or don't affect) your return.
