Right, unless the changes affect the amount of tax you owe or your refund amount, no amendment is necessary. This is often the case when it is an EIN number change - that is not going to change your tax liability. But if there was a change in any number or even marking an option in Box 13, these could change your tax liability and you would need to enter the changes to see how the changes affect (or don't affect) your return.
