If you amended your taxes and the wrong amount has been sent, how can this be corrected?

I actually expect more money back amd have already filed for amendment. Just need to know how long it would take to fix this?

Any refund you expect from an amended return would come separately from your original return.  It takes up to 16 weeks to process an amended return and any refund is sent via paper check, not direct deposit.  You can check on your amended return status at the link below similar to your original return.
