If the carryover form can't be deleted what now? I made a mistake,i never adopted a child and I removed that portion but it wont delete the carryover form

I'm sure you've already tried this, but here is is again:

1.  Go to Tax Tools.

2.  Go to Tools.

3.  Go to Delete a Form.

4.  Scroll down to Form 8839 and Adoptive Child Worksheet (child's name) and hit Delete.

Also, try going back into the adoption credit section to delete anything that could be there erroneously:

1.  Click Federal on the left-hand side menu.

2.  Click Deductions & Credits across the top.

3.  Scroll down to You and Your Family and click Show more.

4.  Click Start or Revisit by Adoption Credit.

Even though you don't have any adoption credit, make sure that there's nothing that you'll have to Edit.
