So Turbo Tax did take the fees out of your account?  There is nothing you can do now. When the IRS does send your refund they won't take out fees out.   Except maybe the Pay with Refund Service charge if they didn't already take that one out of your account.

When you filed and selected to have the fees deducted from your refund you had to agree to them taking it out of your account if the IRS doesn't send it like in 39 days.  It was on the screen.  A lot of people go through the screens too fast and don't read them close.

Sounds like the IRS is taking too long to send your refund or reduced it. See What if the IRS reduces your refund or delays it.

Then when the IRS does send your refund they won't take the fees out again.

And, Why you got charged,

You should have received about 4 emails asking for the fees. If you don't pay they will debit your account. You had to agree to it. Check your spam folder for emails.

I didn’t agree for them to take the money out of my checking account directly but I did agree for them to take it out of my refund I’ll check my emails I don’t have anything stating that they’re going to take money out of my account but I received a letter saying that they received the money I’m confused still but I’m going to check and make sure that I get all my money and no extra fees should be coming out whenever I get my money

But you did agree to having the fees withheld from you bank account not only once by TWICE in the program and if you failed to read or understand the terms of the contract it is not the fault of the TT program.   If you want to see the contract you had 2 chances to view and save  when you signed the agreements then do so now.  Save a PDF with the worksheets to read the contract if you have not yet done so.

NOTE:  When you open your return back up, do not make any changes in it if it's already been filed.  If you later have to amend the return, it has to start off exactly as it was when it was originally filed.

  • Log in and at the Tax Home or in the section "Your Tax Returns & Documents" for 2020, look for a link "Add a State."
  • Click on "Add a State."  (you don't really add one.  That's just to open your return back up.)
  • After the return is open, click in the left menu column on TAX TOOLS, then PRINT CENTER.
  • Then choose "Print, save, view this year's return."
  • The next screen should offer some options:  "Just my tax returns", or "include government worksheets (optional)", or "include government and TurboTax worksheets (optional.)"
  • See if one of those PDFs has what you need.  The latter has the most pages.

NOTE:  Remember all PDF tax documents and tax data files are very sensitive files, since they contain your personal ID info, financial data, and possibly bank account numbers, etc.  Be sure to store them safely and securely to guard against computer theft, hacking, etc.
