They will take all they need to pay off the debt on file and then refund the balance ... and yes they can take the EIC as well.

So my student loans are pretty high and basically what you’re saying is I’ll be getting zero $$? Even when I’m unemployed? Thank you for answering my questions....

Any potential problem (such as being audited) with IRS if we stop filing Schedule F for our small farm enterprise?
