If I owe taxes and put my bank account in for direct debit can the government use that account to direct deposit my coronavirus stimulus check?

No, however the IRS is working on building a portal to enter direct deposit information for an anticipated economic impact payment.

In the coming weeks, Treasury plans to develop a web-based portal for individuals to provide their banking information to the IRS online, so that individuals can receive payments immediately as opposed to checks in the mail.

submitted my tax return over a weeks ago and owed tax.  I put my bank account in for a direct withdraw at a later day.   I don't think my bank account got forwarded to IRS as I've just checked https://www.irs.gov/coronavirus (Get My Payment) and got error "Payment Status Not Available" today April 20.  Anything I can do to forward such info to IRS?
