If I didn’t get ANY of the stimulus payments even though I qualify for Them:how can I be sure that I selected the correct info when filing my 2020 refund to tell the irs?

How do I make sure to receive the qualified stimulus payments 1-2-3? That I did not receive prior to filing my 2020 refund?

You do not enter anything about the 3rd stimulus on your 2020 tax return.  The IRS is issuing those checks separately on its own timetable.

As for the 1st and 2nd checks:

The stimulus check is an advance on a credit you can receive on your 2020 tax return.  If something went wrong or you did not get the stimulus check in 2020, you can get it when you file your 2020 return in early 2021

The Recovery Rebate Credit will be found in the FEDERAL REVIEW section. ( you should see "Let's make sure you got the right stimulus amount”)  If you are eligible it will end up on line 30 of your 2020 Form 1040.

Make sure that you enter ALL of the stimulus money received for the 1st and 2nd stimulus for yourself, your spouse and your children.

TurboTax cannot track your 3rd stimulus or tell you when it will arrive.  The IRS is issuing 3rd stimulus checks on its own timetable.

You can use the IRS Get My Payment site to see what is expected for your 3rd stimulus check:

You have done the best thing by filing your 2020 tax return to claim the first and second stimulus. If you do not owe any taxes or other debts, then the Recovery Rebate Credit and any other refund will be deposited into your account. There is nothing you have to do to collect the third stimulus, as @xmasbaby0 stated.

1. To check whether you properly reported that you have not yet received your stimulus payments, download a copy of your return and check Form 1040, page 2, Line 30, for the Recovery Rebate Credit.

If you are filing single, you should see $1,800 reported here for the IRS to send the money.

To get your 2020 Form 1040 download, from the left menu, select Tax Home. Then, follow these steps:

  • Scroll down to Your tax returns & documents and Show.
  • Navigate to the option to download the PDF of your return.
    • The forms are named in the top left and lower right hand corners of each page.

If you did see the Recovery Rebate Credit Worksheet toward the end of the federal PDF before the state forms, then the IRS will automatically recalculate any errors on the worksheet.

If you did not see any amount on Line 30 and you did not see any Recovery Rebate Credit Worksheet toward the end of the federal PDF before the state forms, then you should amend the return.

  • To Amend(change) your 2020 TurboTax Online return, follow these steps:

    • Open the return--you will be at Tax Home.
    • Scroll down to Your tax returns & documents and Show.
    • Select 2020, and Amend(change) return.
  • Only after the amend process has been started, then, navigate to the Stimulus Payments section by following these steps:

    • Go to the search box and enter stimulus. Click the Jump to link.
    • Answer Yes.
    • At the next screen, Let's double-check the amount you received, answer No to edit the first-round and second-round amounts.
    • Since no stimulus amount was received, enter 0. An amount should be entered in each box. When finished, click Continue.
  • Amending the federal return can be done electronically. Unless you live in Georgia, Michigan, New York, or Vermont, any state amended return must be paper filed.

2. The third stimulus payment will be sent to the most recent bank account on file when they began distributing the third stimulus payments. If you did not have accurate bank account information on file, a paper check will be mailed to the last known address on file with the IRS.
