If I amended my return and it says "Return ready to send" when should I expect it?

Did you MAIL the amended 1040X return?  Amended returns can only be mailed and can take 16 weeks to process.  And they only mail checks for refunds.  Since amended returns can't be efiled you do not get any confirmation or emails back.

After 3 weeks you can track an amended return.  You can look up the Amended return 1040X status
