If I accidentally checked the wrong filing status box on my state return, how can I correct it so that I can efile it?

Should have checked the "married filing jointly" but instead accidentally checked "married filing separately on different returns". Now it says I cannot efile because of the status. I just need to change it.

You can change your filing status in your Personal Info section. Use the steps below to make the changes.

To change your filing status in TurboTax Online:

1. Go to "Personal Info" at the top of the page

2. Select "Edit" next to marital status

3. Select the status that applies to you
