not really. it takes the IRS at least 3 or 4 weeks to issue a refund after it receives the return. the IRS did not start accepting 2022 returns until 1/25/2023. you may have submitted it earlier but all that happened was it sat on Turbotax's computers until e-filing opened. due to the PATH act refunds for returns claiming the EIC won't happen until at least 2/15/2023. actually omitting the EIC could delay your return because the IRS computers should catch the omission. if you file and omit it your refund would be less so to get the EIC credit you would probably have to amend or respond to the IRS notice and that could take months if what happened in 2022 with 2021 returns is any indication.
