You could not have filed a 2020 tax return 4 days ago.  The 2020 tax year is not yet completed.  The federal tax return Form 1040 has not been finalized.

So what exactly are you trying to do?

NOTHING can be e-filed at this time.  The IRS is closed and will not begin to accept e-files until the end of January.  So not sure what you tried to do or how you tried to do it-----but you did not file anything.

The second stimulus has not even been passed yet.    If and when they ever pass it and it gets signed into law, we can hope for some IRS guidelines--as of now there are none.
