I was reviewing my refund information and my bank statement and my refund was short. How do I go about getting the rest of my funds?

First, confirm that the amount you are missing is not the amount of your state refund. Federal and state refunds are processed through different agencies and appear in your account at different times.

Second, confirm the payment has not been reduced for debt. 

To see if IRS is keeping your refund for student loans or other debt, call (800) 304-3107, for the US Treasury's Bureau of Fiscal Services.

For IRS debt, call the FMS at 1-800-304-3107 to find out if your refund was reduced because of an offset.

Call the IRS Taxpayer Advocate Service at 1-877-777-4778 (or visit www.irs.gov/advocate) if you feel your refund was reduced in error. The service is free.

Finally, go to Tax Tools to see if this for your TurboTax fees.
