I did my taxes back in March with HR Block, but I was trying to send it in again not knowing that I couldn't submit a duplicate . I spoke with the Turbo Tax advisor and informed her I had already submitted my taxes back in march and I was informed that I had to purchase the online E-file for $199 plus state $54 to mail in my taxes. I told the young lady I had filed already but she said I had to seem like I was mailing in the tax form in order to complete the e-file . I think that was a complete rip off if she had told me I couldn't resubmit for a duplicate I WOULD have NEVER purchased something I don't need. I saved up this money for 2 weeks to try to do as she said to find out. Neither her nor I knew what we were doing . This was a waste of my $250.
My question is why can't I get a refund for the $250 I paid for services I didn't need or couldn't use.

No one in the user forum can resolve a billing issue. If you have a question about your TurboTax fees or billing, make sure you use the word “billing” in your request for help. Do not use the word “refund.”

@Ctdtjz - can I ask why you authorized your taxes to be submitted via Turbo Tax and then ran to H&R Block?
you did not pay Turbo Tax to either e-file or mail your taxes. TUrbo Tax does not charge for that.
They charge for creating your tax return.
I was told that was what I had to do to say I'm mailing in my tax not to e-file. As ive said before I already filed this year I didn't need or wanted a tax summary
@Ctdtjz - again, Turbo Tax does not charge to efile your taxes.
If you employed Turbo Tax to create a tax return for you, whether they knew you had already gone to H&R Block or not, THAT is what you paid for. They provided the service and you have the tax return to reflect the service rendered. That is going to be your challenge to convince them to waive the fee.
Good Luck!
That's my point exactly yea, Turbo Tax software did it's job but if I wasn't told in advance to purchase the service , I wouldn't have. All I'm going to say is before people give advice to situations they know nothing about they need a way to learn before they cost others unnecessary funds. Money you can not get back because you were advised to purchase a tax form without needing it. As ive said once before I Informed the person that I had already suittedy tax documents with HR Block . But I'll take the lost , it's not my first time loosing money behind listening to someone I thought was well informed about the situation.
